License keys
- Find my key: it's in the email you got when you bought Notcha. Search your inbox for "Notcha". Can't find it? Email us from your purchase address.
- Activate: Notcha menu bar icon › Settings › License › paste the key › Activate.
- New Mac: on the old Mac use Settings › License › Deactivate this Mac, then activate on the new one. Lifetime is for 1 Mac; Team covers up to 5.
- Offline: after the first activation Notcha works offline.
Music
- Nothing shows up: play something in Spotify, Apple Music or your browser. Notcha shows whatever macOS lists as Now Playing.
- No shuffle, repeat or volume: these need a one-time macOS Automation permission for Spotify or Apple Music. Click Unlock shuffle, repeat & volume in the Music tab, or turn it on in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Automation › Notcha.
- A button is missing: Notcha only shows controls the playing app supports.
The notch
- No notch on my Mac or external display: Notcha shows a matching pill at the top centre.
- No haptics: they need a Force Touch trackpad with a finger resting on it.
- Open it with the keyboard: ⌃⌥N.
Permissions
All optional: Automation (Spotify / Apple Music), Calendar, Camera. Change any of them in System Settings › Privacy & Security, or see their status in Notcha's Settings › Permissions.
